Fraud investigations

Six Avalon residents reported account numbers to their bank accounts or lines of credit were unlawfully used to purchase goods or services at various locations throughout the country.  Avalon Station detectives are actively investigating the thefts.

Don’t text while driving

Deputies and concerned citizens in the community have seen an increase in motorists talking or texting on their phones while driving their vehicles.

Using a cell phone while driving is not only unlawful, but it’s dangerous for the children in the community who frequently play in or near the streets.  Please help us keep our kids safe and refrain from using your cell phones while driving.

Golf carts

During the month of March, only one golf cart was reported as “stolen.”  It was determined an Avalon resident took the golf cart by accident as it was identical to their own cart.
