April 5

• Deputies conducted patrol checks to ensure Avalon residents are complying with the “Safer at Home” Order.  The majority of the community is complying with the order.

April 6

• A victim reported that he left his cell phone and accessories charging outside the Public Library.  When he returned an hour later, the items were missing.  The investigation is ongoing.

April 7

• The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services came to the island to check on the welfare of a child due to a recent domestic violence incident.  DCFS is continuing with their investigation.

• The Avalon 911 dispatcher received a 911 call from a female claiming she was hiking in San Pedro and was stuck on the side of a cliff.  The information was forwarded to the Los Angeles Police Department so they could assist her.
