Maverick Helicopters is spreading holiday cheer with its annual toy drive, collecting new, unwrapped toys for local children in need. Through Dec. 20, gifts can be dropped off at Maverick Helicopters Queen Mary Terminal in Long Beach or shipped via Amazon. All donations will benefit children and families on Catalina Island through local community organizations, helping make the season brighter for those in need.
To celebrate the season of giving, Maverick Helicopters will host Santa’s Toy Drop on Dec. 20, where he will make a grand arrival to Catalina Island by helicopter. (The reindeer are practicing for the big night of Dec. 24.)
“We are grateful for the generosity of our community and for our strong partnership with the city of Avalon, Love Catalina, and the Avalon Sheriff’s Department,” said Ben Villalobos, vice president of business development at Maverick Helicopters. “Every toy donated brings a little more joy to local children and makes the holidays brighter here on Catalina Island.”
