Outrageous

I went to City Hall to get a permit for my cart. No one could help me because “ the woman who handles permits was not there,” she only works on Monday and Wednesday.

I asked if some one else could do permits and they said no. Is this such a complicated task that only she is capable of doing it? It doesn’t say much for the other employees. There were no workers, in evidence, when I arrived. I stood there and said hello about five times and then proceeded to a window and knocked until I got a worker to talk to me.

A week later my son went to city hall on the same errand. He told me he was the first person in line at 8 a.m. and had to wait 15 minutes before the man, on duty, recognized him.

I think that this is outrageous. Whoever is in charge needs to attend to the lack of common courtesy and the training of personnel.
