It is with great sorrow and sadness that we struggle with the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend Renee Riemer.

Though she never liked to give away her age, we can now tell you that she was born June 2, 1969.

Renee was raised on the Island, graduating from Avalon High with honors in 1987.

She developed a strong work ethic working at the Avalon Amusement Arcade, the Catalina Donut shop, Llodys of Avalon, Dodies Country Kitchen and Weezies dress shop.

After graduation she moved to the mainland. She went to work for Price Club (Costco), where she met her future husband, then went to work for Ingram Micro “the global leader in technology and supply chain services” as a senior buyer for over 20 years.

She married the love of her life, Michael Riemer, in 1999. They settled in the Orange County area where they bought a home and raised three wonderful children.

In December of 2003 she was diagnosed with cancer and began the fight of her life, which showed us all what true strength and courage look like.

Through it all she continued to work, raise her family , travel and just look beautiful.

On February 18 her sweet little body could just not take any more. Our loving Father took her home to finally rest.

She leaves behind her husband, Michael, their children, Sean, Trenton and Natasha, mother and pop, Dorothea and Luis Sanchez, brothers, Johnny, Alex, Adam and Paul, nieces and nephews, the Thron and Bertoli families, and more relatives and friends too numerous to list here.

In lieu of donations or flowers in her name, please spend some special time with your loved ones.
