April 2023 once again proved how weather and water conditions can affect our Harbor stats. We believe the lower boat counts are attributed to the chilly and gloomy weather.

Year—2023—2022—2021

Average Low Temp—51—53—52

Average Sea Temp—57—62—61

As you can see, the Average High Temp for April 2023 was 5 degrees to 7 degrees below the prior 2 years. In addition to lower-than-normal temperatures, a majority of the month was overcast. We had 105 boats arrive over Easter weekend this year, compared to only 82 in 2022.

On a positive note, all of the rain the island received over the prior two months turned the hills emerald green and brought an island bouquet of wild flowers!
