On Saturday April 20, the City of Avalon’s Community Service Dept, CICO’s Descanso Beach Club, and Lloyds of Avalon created a wonderful Community Easter Egg Hunt for all ages. The lawn at Descanso Beach was over-flowing with a 1,000 eggs for each group to scavenge. Starting at 10 a.m., with 0-3 year olds and then every 20 min a new group would have their opportunity, 4-6, 7-10, and 11-17. If you picked one egg or 20 eggs, you received a bag full of candy and toys. There were two golden eggs in each group which received a basket full of goodies. When the mad dash was done families could enjoy the rest of their time taking pictures with the Easter Bunny, coloring their own eggs at the craft booth or having a pancake or scrambled egg breakfast at the breakfast bar.
