Chet’s, Bravo’s, Hamilton Cove win

Bravo’s leads league standings, one game ahead of Straight Up

Another Thursday night, another three fun games of softball. Lobster Trap took on Chet’s Hardware in the first game.

Three base hits and a double from Efrain Moreno got three runs on the board for Lobster Trap in the first inning. Chet’s Hardware came out hot and put together eight base hits, doubles from Tino Rodriguez and Marco Gallegos, and a triple from Alex Romero to have eleven cross the plate.

Lobster Trap put up another run in the second off a base hit and doubles from Marco Gallegos and Jose Octavo. In the bottom of the inning Chet’s Hardware had four base hits and doubles from Juan De La Cruz and Marco Gallegos to add another four runs.

Chet’s Hardware continued on the offensive roll and in the third inning had four base hits and an inside the park home run from Marco Gallegos to bring home five more. In the top of the fourth Lobster Trap got busy with five base hits and a walk to add four more runs, but with time expired, it wasn’t enough. The game ended with the score Lobster Trap 8, Chet’s Hardware 20.

For Lobster Trap, Jose Octavo was three for three. Efrain Moreno and Alana Moreno were two for two. Weston Leonhardi, Kyle Ostentoski, Mario Jimenez and Kara Fullner contributed one hit.

For Chet’s Hardware Juan De La Cruz and Alex Romero were four for four. Marco Gallegos collected three hits. Sebastian Sanchez, Rolando Gonzalez, Tino Rodriguez, Briana Morones and Selina Morones had two hits. Apples Carrillo contributed one hit.

Game two had Coyote Joe’s taking on Bravo’s Landscaping. Bravo’s Landscaping got on the board in the bottom of the first inning with three runs off a walk, two base hits, and a triple from Stephanie Martinez. Coyote Joe’s had a run score in the second off three base hits.

Bravo’s Landscaping used a walk, a double from Marcus Watts and a triple from Alex Herrera to add two more runs. Bravo’s Landscaping kept the pressure on, bringing home three more runs in the third off two base hits, a two-run home run from Tyler Engel and a sacrifice fly.

Coyote Joe’s had two base hits and an error to score a run in the fourth inning. Bravo’s Landscaping had a walk, two base hits and a double from Joe Hernandez in the bottom of the inning to bring home three more.

Enrique Bravo hit a double and scored for Coyote Joe’s in the fifth. Bravo’s Landscaping kept pace, adding a run in the bottom of the inning off three base hits. Coyote Joe’s Francisco Bravo opened the sixth with a triple. Three errors later, three runs came home. Time expired with the third out, so the score at the end of the game was Coyote Joe’s 6, Bravo’s Landscaping 12.

For Coyote Joes Francisco Bravo, Ron Bevins and Nestor Cubillas collected two hits. Hugh Bevins, Enrique Bravo and Rachel Mc Cormick had one hit.

For Bravo’s Landscaping Tyler Engel was three for three. Joe Hernandez and Stephanie Martinez were two for two. Ryan Adkins also had two hits. Santiago Martinez, Billy Boyd, Marcus Watts, Alex Herrera and Judy Quarnstrom contributed one hit.

Game three featured Straight Up Builders and Hamilton Cove Real Estate. Straight Up Builders got off to a fast start with two walks, three base hits and doubles from Steven Marcy and Ryan Hinkley to bring home four. Hamilton Cove Real Estate answered with a two-run home run from Nick Morones.

In the second inning Hamilton Cove used two base hits, doubles from Luis Lazzaro and Gustavo Aguilar, a triple from Robert Reyes and a two-run bomb from Nick Morones to score six. Steven Marcy hit a triple and scored on the double from Ryan Hinkley for Straight Up Builders in the third.

Straight Up Builders had doubles from Bart Glass, Alvin Veal and Jim Hinkley to score two more in the fourth. Straight Up Builders tried to score on a base hit, but a great throw to the plate got the runner for the third out. In the bottom of the inning Hamilton Cove Real Estate had a run home and bases loaded when time expired.

The game ended with the score Straight Up Builders 7, Hamilton Cove Real Estate 9.

For Straight Up Builders Steven Marcy, Ryan Hinkley and Alvin Veal were two for two. Chuy Sillas, Bart Glass, Jim Hinkley, Uriel Castillo, Amanda Younger and Frannie Finley contributed one hit.

For Hamilton Cove Real Estate Robert Reyes and Nick Morones were three for three. Gustavo Aguilar was two for two. Luis Lazzaro, Aimee Casillasa and LeeAnn Little collected one hit.
