The Avalon Rotary Club Foundation held is annual Chili Cook Off Oct. 2, 2021. As the Foundation’s biggest annual fundraising event, the Chili Cook Off proceeds fund Avalon School Scholarships, Service Projects and Medical Travel Grants on Catalina Island. Funds raised this year are still being tallied from entry fees, admissions fees and snack and beverage sales, but are expected to exceed budget. Twelve entrants this year competed for $3,000 in prizes.

2nd Place $300—LA County Fire Station 55
1st Place $800—East End Slow Burn
3rd Place $250—Baby Jack’s Nacho Average Chili
2nd Place $500—LA County Fire Station 55
1st Place $1,000 plus Trophy—Naughty Ahi Chili
Two winners graciously donated their winnings back to the Foundation! Thank you to LA County Fire Station 55 and The Naughty Fox for the generous gifts back to Rotary!
