The city of Avalon is looking for a new Planning Department director. The deadline is 4 p.m, Monday, Oct. 31.
Applicants will need to send a letter of interest, a resume and four references to the Avlaon Human Resources Department at P.O. Box 707.
The potential salary, according to a notice posted on the city website, would be $127,573 to $164,55 annually.
“Successful performance of the work requires knowledge of public policy and municipal functions and activities, including the role of an elected City Council and the ability to develop, oversee, and implement projects and programs in a variety of areas,” according to the job notice.
“Responsibilities include coordinating the activities of the department with those of other departments and outside agencies and managing and overseeing the complex and varied functions of the department,” according to the notice.
