Avalon Rotary Chili Cook-off winners announced

Out of 10 Chili Cook-off entries, three winners were selected in each of two categories: Judges Choice and People’s Choice.

Both Chris Blehm and Adrian Thoricht are multi-year winners, and this year marks the first time that Blehm won in the Judges Choice category!

Avalon Rotary wishes to extend a very special thanks to Chris Blehm for donating his $1,000 prize, back to Rotary in support of future community services and scholarships for Avalon youth.

Judge’s Choice

1st—Verdelicious Chris Blehm

2nd—Boilermaker Cliff Boyd

3rd—Chris’ Cajun Chili Leah Khoury

According to Nicole Hohenstein, Avalon Rotary Club member and annual event coordinator, “the funds raised for future Rotary service programs netted over $16,000 with final accounting not yet in hand.
