The Avalon High eight-man football team got off to a great start in Coastal League action as host Rolling Hills Prep fell 54-18 in a game on Friday, Oct. 5.
This marked the sixth straight win for the Lancers (6-0, 0-1), who have not been beaten this season..
Lancers running back Luis Amezcua, a junior, gained the most rushing yards. The junior finished with seven carries for 107 years. Additionally, Jose Cervantes, who had only five touches, recorded 75 yards. Senior Ricardo Tamayo also scored a pair of touchdowns.
