Firefighters with the Avalon Station paid tribute to their fellow firefighters and other first responders who went into the twin towers on Sept. 11 in New York City, to battle the flames and attempt to save people after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Ten firefighters from Avalon Station, along with some paramedics and lifeguards, and a few community members walked up and down the ramp at the Casino building 10 times in a simulation to the 110 floors of the World Trade Center towers. The Firefighters were dressed in their gear, which added about 65 pounds to their walk.
