The Avalon Rotary Club Foundation held is annual Chili Cook Off Oct. 2, 2021. As the Foundation’s biggest annual fundraising event, the Chili Cook Off proceeds fund Avalon School Scholarships, Service Projects and Medical Travel Grants on Catalina Island. Funds raised this year are still being tallied from entry fees, admissions fees and snack and beverage sales, but are expected to exceed budget. Twelve entrants this year competed for $3,000 in prizes.
