Two Harbors Summer Wine Festival set

Representing more than 30 wineries and featuring some of California’s finest wines, the event is aimed at appealing to every connoisseur’s palate. Also included is a silent auction with Catalina items that will appeal to all. The auction will benefit the Rotary Club of Avalon and its community programs. Complete with live music and tasty appetizers, the Two Harbors’ Summer Wine Festival has become one of the “must do events” while visiting Catalina.

Tickets to the Summer Wine Festival can be purchased through the Two Harbors Visitors Services office at (310) 510-4205. Tickets are $50. Tickets do sell out fast, so it’s advised to purchase tickets as soon as possible.

Catallac from Avalon leaves Float 5 at 11:30 a.m. (arrival by 12:15 p.m.) and then from Two Harbors it leaves at 4:30 and is back by 5:30 p.m. into Avalon.

The fee is $60 cash. Transportation is Round trip only (no one way price). No credit cards. The Rotary Club of Avalon and Two Harbors Enterprises are sponsors of The Two Harbors Wine Festival. Proceeds benefit local Island charities and the event has helped raise funds for scholarships and other programs for Island youth.

All are dedicated to the creed of “service above self.” Avalon Rotary Club offers its membership a variety of local Island community service opportunities, as well as projects such as feeding the hungry in Ensenada, Mexico or contributing to international efforts to eradicate polio. Avalon Rotary meets weekly on Wednesdays at 12:15 p.m. at the M Restaurant, catering by Zest.
