Two Harbors school holds bake sale

Sweet treats flew off the table the Sunday before Memorial Day, the day Two Harbors Elementary School PTA holds its annual Memorial Day Bake Sale.  Donations or delectable baked goods were provided by students, parents, alumni, community members, and members of the Channel Cruising Club.  The result was large tables packed edge to edge with a variety of sweet treats that made indecision a temporary normal.

Morse and students Aliah Barrios, Alexandria Morse, Zoe Ponce, and Marty Caballero worked the tables and crowd. Two Harbors Alumni Channing and Malaya Barrios managed staff and money.  At the end of the sale, the long lines were gone, the tables were near empty, and the moneybox was full of donations.

A last minute generous donation from Steve and Marrianne Whittington made for a grand total of one thousand dollars raised. Seen in the photo from left are Aliah Barrios, Alexandria Morse, Jose Platas, Chris Barrios, and David Morse.
