The annual Brewfest at Two Harbors on Catalina Island has proven once again to be a can’t-miss event as it made its return on Saturday. Featuring live music, gourmet food, and a firsthand preview of craft beverages from local California breweries, people came together to enjoy quite a day of fun in the sun. Over the years, the Avalon Lions Club has worked together with the Santa Catalina Island Company to put on this beloved festival, all in an effort to raise money for local youth scholarships and programs.

Hundreds of visitors were able to taste their way through a variety of ales, lagers and hard seltzers against the backdrop of Catalina Island charm one can only find in Two Harbors. Patrons could find some returning favorites such as Golden Road, Coronado and Asahi, while Webb’s Grain Shed took top honors. Throughout the year, Avalon Lions Club hosts a number of events to raise funds for local scholarships and programs, and Brewfest continues to be a significant draw on an annual basis.

The Lions Club’s Silent Auction, held during the event, has also become a yearly attraction for those wishing to support local youths within the community even further. Thanks to everyone’s enthusiasm and support, we are able to raise important funds for local scholarships and charitable causes that make a real difference in our community. It is inspiring to see how craft beer enthusiasts coming together with local community members for a fun event can create such a positive impact. If you or anyone you know is interested in helping out your community, check in with your local International Lions Club chapter for more information.

The Avalon Lions Club would like to give a special thank you to the following who helped make this year’s 2026 Brewfest possible through their partnerships and/or donations: Rudy and the SCICO staff at Two Harbors; Stacy and the good folks at Cat Beverage; Greg, Megan, Cindy, Steve, and all the donors to the Silent Auction; and last but certainly not least – Nate and the “Epic.” Your contributions and commitment are what makes this great event happen year after year, and we look forward to seeing you all again for the next one!
