The following is the Avalon Sheriff’s Station significant incidents report for the week of June 4 to June 10.

"It is important to note that no assumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the content of the information provided in this report," said Capt. Doug Fetteroll, commander of the station.  "Many people who get arrested do not get convicted or even charged with crimes for which they have been arrested."

Neighborhood Outreach Meeting
On Wednesday, July 1, from 5 to 7 p.m., the public is invited to join me (Capt. Doug Fetteroll) and some of my (bilingual) deputies at our next Community Outreach meeting.  The meeting will be held at Pete’s Cafe on Sumner Avenue and is for the purpose of sharing ideas regarding community policing.

June  4-5
• No significant incidents.

June  6
• A visitor to the Island reported her unattended purse was stolen from the women’s public restroom at Two Harbors.

June  7
• At 2:54 a.m., Jenefer Silva, 19, an Avalon resident, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after colliding into a parked golf cart and leaving the scene of an accident.

June  8
• No significant incidents.
