Sheriff’s log: Sept. 7-16, 2015

The following is the Avalon Sheriff’s Station significant incidents report for the week of Sept. 7 to Sept. 16. “It is important to note that no assumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the content of the information provided in this report,” said Capt. Doug Fetteroll, commander of the Station. “Many people who get arrested do not get convicted or even charged with crimes for which they have been arrested.”

September 7

September 7

•  A quantity of marijuana was found on Metropole Avenue and turned into the Sheriff’s Station.

September 8

•  No significant incidents.

September 9

• An Avalon resident reported being the victim of a trespass on Tremont Street.  

 September 10

•  A tragic boating accident occurred in the mooring field at the Isthmus Cove resulting in the death of Belinda Nguyen, a 22 year old resident of Two Harbors.  Belinda was beloved by everyone in the Two Harbors community and our prayers go out to her friends and family.

September 11

•  No significant incidents.

 September 12

•  No significant incidents.

September 13

•  An Avalon resident reported being the victim of a possible burglary/trespass on East Whittley Avenue.  The involved party was later identified and the matter was resolved.

September 14 to 16

•  No significant incidents.
