Sheriff’s Log: Nov. 30 to Dec. 6, 2023

The following is the Avalon’s Sheriff’s Stations significant incidents report for the period of Nov. 30 to Dec. 6, 2023.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Many people who are arrested do not get prosecuted in the first place and many who are prosecuted do not get convicted,

November 30

  • Deputies responded to Eucalyptus Gardens regarding a possible trespassing call. The caller stated it appears unknown persons are entering the apartment, eating food and taking a shower. The resident was given recommendations to enhance security and safeguard his property.

December 1

  • Deputies responded to Whittley Avenue regarding a possible trespassing call. The caller stated a male Hispanic appears to have entered the neighbors home and was not allowed at the location. The deputies are familiar with the possible suspect and are currently investigating the case. Avalon Station is taking a zero tolerance stance on trespassers and will be strictly enforcing the laws.

December 2

  • Deputies responded to a disturbance call on Catalina Avenue. The caller stated she was being harassed by a 50-year-old woman with a pony tail. The deputies contacted both women and counseled them regarding their behavior. There was no evidence of any crime.

December 3

  • Deputies responded to Country Club Drive regarding a suspicious person. The caller stated a man with face tattoos was acting suspiciously.

The deputies contacted the man and determined he had a $100,000 arrest warrant for vandalism.

Casey Boeling, 44, of Anaheim was arrested and booked att Avalon Station based on his outstanding warrant.

December 4

  • Deputies were contacted at the station by the owner of a rental property. The owner stated a few days earlier his home was entered by a known person who did not have permission. The property owner signed a Letter of Agency authorizing the arrest of the man if he trespasses again.
  • Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Casino Way.

The driver was cited for failing to stop at a posted stop sign and being an unlicensed driver.

  • Deputies responded to a business disturbance on the 100 block of Catalina Avenue.

The caller stated a local man threw an object and broke the window. The caller stated he knew the man by name.

While responding to the call, the man who allegedly broke the window showed up at the station.

The deputies let the employee and the man settle their dispute in a civil manner. The man agreed to pay for the damages he caused.

December 5

  • Deputies were contacted at the station by a man who stated his vending machine was vandalized at Bird Park.

The deputies contacted the victim and discovered video surveillance of the incident.

They recognized the suspect as a local man. A felony vandalism report was written and the case is currently under investigation.

  • Deputies responded to a disturbance call on Sumner Avenue.

The caller stated a rental golf cart with 4 people inside were drinking alcohol and littering.

The deputies scoured the area to locate the perps only to discover they had returned their golf cart and were in the wind.

Be advised it is a crime to purchase, provide or furnish alcohol to anyone under 21 years old. This includes purchasing alcoholic beverages using money provided by the underage children.

If you commit this crime and are caught, you will be arrested.
