The following is the Avalon Sheriff’s Station significant incidents report for the week of March 9 to March 14 .

ADULT PROTECTIVE
SERVICES
Adult Protective Services is a 24-hour service program mandated by the State to investigate all situations involving elders (65 or older) and dependent adults (18 – 64 and physically or mentally impaired) who are reported to be endangered by physical, sexual or financial abuse, isolation, neglect, or self-neglect.
Reports may be made to APS through the Elder Abuse Hotline 877-477-3646.
The following are examples of situations that are handled by Adult Protective Services; inability to perform daily living activities, physical abuse, sexual abuse, or the threat of such abuse, neglect by caregiver or self-neglect, malnourishment, physical restraint or confinement, severe mental/emotional impairment, threat of eviction or serious financial loss, due to inability to protect or to manage finances or assets and living conditions which constitute a serious health or safety hazard.

• At 8:30 p.m., deputies investigated a report of several men poaching lobsters at the Cabrillo Mole. Santi Sinsarady, 39, a resident of Las Vegas, was cited on suspicion of violating multiple sections of the Fish and Game Code after deputies recovered numerous undersized lobsters concealed in his golf cart. The lobsters were still alive and returned to the ocean.

• At 5:40 p.m., Teri Gill, 60, an Avalon resident, was arrested on suspicion of driving (a golf cart) while under the influence of alcohol.
