Sheriff’s Log: Feb. 12 to Feb. 18

The following is the Avalon Sheriff’s Station significant incidents report for the week of Feb. 12 to Feb. 18.

“It is important to note that no assumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the content of the information provided in this report,” said Capt. Doug Fetteroll, commander of the station.  “Many people who get arrested do not get convicted or even charged with crimes for which they have been arrested,” said Fetteroll.

February 12

• No significant incidents.

February 12

• No significant incidents.

February 13

• An Avalon resident reported being the victim of terrorist threats.  The investigation into the incident is on-going.

February 14

• At 8:20 p.m., Valerie Hernandez,  29, a resident of Laguna Beach, was arrested for an alleged assault.

• At 9:40 p.m., Khristie Robinson,  41, a resident of Los Angeles, was arrested for being drunk in public.

February 15

• A visitor to the Island lost a necklace on Crescent Avenue that was very valuable to her.  She was extremely distraught and is hopeful the necklace will be found and turned into the Sheriff’s Station.

February 16

• At 1:15 a.m., Gabriel Frausto,  23, a resident of Los Angeles, was arrested for an alleged assault.

February 17

• No significant incidents.

February 18

• No significant incidents.
