Sailor Chester Salisbury of the vessel “Siouxzie” says his 12-year-old, mixed ancestry, dog Shelby is a good camper.
The two-member crew hit some rough seas lately in their quest to sail to Mexico and have decided to explore the Channel Islands for the time being.
Salisbury has sailed into Catalina many times over the last 20 years, but had a little crash at the Isthmus.
Shelby was a trooper as she did not panic, but, like always, she just had to investigate every nook and cranny of what was going on.

“She was OK; curious, but good,” Salisbury said. “Shelby has met many people here in Avalon and everyone one who meets her just loves her.”
