On July 16, the NAC Avalon Ocean Club was recognized by the Love Catalina Tourism Authority for its dedication to our island community and its commitment to expanding opportunities for local youth through ocean sports, water safety, and outdoor education.

This program is led by Dempsey Haynosch and Madison Feldman who are incredibly honored to support Avalon’s youth both in and out of the water. Both are deeply grateful for the recognition and continued support from our island community.

“Seeing our young ocean athletes grow in confidence, skill, and respect for the ocean is what inspires us every season” Dempsey said.

They are especially excited for their upcoming Fall Ocean Club Season, running Sept. 10 through Oct. 17 in addition to the launch of a new addition to the program called the Lobster Rolls group, tailored for ages 7–8 years old. This new program is designed to introduce our youngest ocean adventurers to water safety, paddling, and a lifelong love of the ocean in a fun and supportive environment. There will be limited spots available for this pilot program. More info can be found on their facebook NAC Avalon Ocean Club or email them at av*************@***il.com.
