The city of Avalon has scheduled a public mobility workshop on Zoom, at 5 p.m., Monday, Nov. 14. The purpose is to get public input for the Avalon Mobility Shift Feasibility Study.

“The core objective of this project is to identify policies that will enable the City to develop a multimodal transportation strategy to reduce reliance on personal motor vehicles, enhance pedestrian walkways and accessibility, boost the City’s public transportation services, and guide implementation of recommendations from the City’s active transportation plan,” according to a notice of the meeting posted on the city website.

During the Nov. 1 council meeting, Public Works Director Bob Greenlaw said the city had already held five stakeholder meetings and the city has already been out to the Mole to get input from visitors. Now the city wants to see what Islanders have to say, according to Greenlaw.

The meeting ID is 814 2798 7094.
