John Hull, the 65 year-old man who was reported missing after starting to sail to Two Harbors in Catalina as part of a group from Los Alamitos, was found on Wednesday, July 24.
According to Coast Guard Command Center in San Pedro, his boat was found moored at Cabrillo Beach. He apparently never left Long Beach Harbor and turned around because he did not feel safe making the crossing.

Hull was onboard his 15-foot sailboat, the Panda II when he fell behind the group. Hull had text messaged his daughter that he was turning around and would be home later Tuesday afternoon. She contacted the Long Beach Police Department when he failed to arrive.
