On Aug. 27, Erin Armstrong was watching the lunar eclipse together with her father Russ and Jenny Armstrong from their patio at Hamilton Cove. She captured the image with her iPhone 16 pro through a telescope.
Erin was raised on Catalina Island and currently divides her time between ski instructing in Mammoth in the winter and working at the Catalina Island Yacht Club during the summer.
Actress Kathleen Quinlan (“Apollo 13” and “Catalina the Magic Isle”) and Jonathan Sherman (architect/designer) were married on the balcony of the historic Casino Ballroom on August 25. The ceremony was presided by Mayor Anni Marshall, owner of Weddings by the Sea.
