Mentor makes another generous donation to Catalina Kid Ventures

Carlene Malin of Yucca Valley and Montana once again travelled to Avalon to support the pre-school here.

“Catalina Kid Ventures is one of my most important donations,” said Malin. “Children are so important and helping working parents is one way to be sure kids are cared for.”

“This $2,500 every year is amazing,” said CKV board member Judy Grear. “We were just talking about the need for new toys and educational materials for the toddlers, now we can get some new and exciting things for them. We cannot emphasize how fortunate we are to have consistent, loyal mentors. With their help we’ve been able to keep the rates the same for seven years and continue to fix the building, improve the grounds, and acquire new fun and educational toys.” The check presentation was held at the library when students came for story time. At Malin’s presentation we’re board members Suzanne Moscoso, Judy Grear, and Gayle Meissner along with CKV Director Carol Ann Burcombe.
