Catalina Island now has its own chapter of the Mediocre Golf Association, which offers average golfers a chance to compete in tournaments with more reasonable fees. Chapter leader Hugh Mckay established the Catalina chapter, which hosts five tournaments at the Catalina Island Golf Course, as well as three others overtown.
They recently competed the Catalina Island The MGA, and will play the Catalina Island F.U. Open at Ben Brown Golf Course in Laguna Beach on June 23. The Catalina Island Bratish Open returns to Catalina Golf Course on July 20. For more information, visit mgatour.com/chapters/catalina-island/.
