• Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Bay Room of the Country Club

Space is limited so those desiring participation are asked to RSVP by email or to call Debbie Phelps    at dphelps@cimedicalcenter.org 310-510-0700.

Rochelle Schultz Spinarski, the project manager from Rural Health Solutions of Woodbury, Minnesota, has extensive experience working with rural hospitals across the nation as well as with the Medical Center.  Her expertise is assisting hospitals and communities in program development, research, and evaluation of community needs.

She will moderate the focus group attendees as they share their local knowledge and insight regarding the Medical Center’s plans for both near term and longer term community health needs.

The hospital will also begin to explore options regarding California seismic building requirements that must to be addressed by the year 2030.

The Medical Center is evaluating the health services and broader health needs of our community by examining:

• the population and health trends of Catalina Island

• community perceptions, preferences, and priorities related to access to health services

• needs for specific health services

• use of space options to support the Medical Center’s planning and decision making regarding the hospital, its services, and how and where services can and should be provided.

Please plan to join the Medical Center and your fellow community members for one of these important discussion groups.

If you have any questions about the Medical Center health services exploration initiative, feel free to call at 310-510-0700.
