Money raised goes to provide Christmas baskets to Avalon residents in need
Monday Dec.16, will be the start of the 2019 Avalon Lions Club Christmas Raffle. Avalon Lions Club members will be selling tickets in the Post Office Arcade from Monday Dec. 16 until Saturday Dec. 21. There will be no ticket sales on Sunday.
Tickets are one dollar each or six for five dollars. Tickets are on sale from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The drawing for the raffle prizes will be on Saturday Dec. 21 at noon. Just in time for Christmas presents.
The money raised each year from The Lions Club Community Fundraiser goes to provide Christmas baskets to Avalon Residents who need them. Each year the Avalon Lions Club donates $1,500 to this important Avalon tradition. This is an opportunity to show your Islander Christmas Spirit by helping other people on Catalina Island.
The 2019 raffle prizes include, a flat screen TV, hotel stays, gift cards from Avalon stores, six passenger golf cart, Bluetooth headphones, and cash prizes. This year there will be drawings for cash prizes of $200, $150, $125 and $100 will be won. Good luck to everyone.
The Avalon Lions Club Members thank everyone for their support and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.
