“Many of my young friends frequently see me exercising and running, and ask to join me,” said Mindy Malan, who helped coordinate the Kids’ run. “This was one way I was able to channel their energies into a healthy, exciting goal and empower them. I was absolutely thrilled that so many children were eager to participate in this running event, and appreciate the support of my community partners for sponsorship, and all those who attended and cheered them on during the event. The kids did great, and I’m so proud of them.  I hope we can organize more events like this for these children.”
