The 31st Annual “Just for the Halibut” Fishing Tournament returns to the Catalina waters on Sunday. The event offers prize money and day of fun as it raises money for youth programs throughout the Catalina community.
The entrance fee is $100 per angler and cash prizes are awarded for first through third place. Anglers also receive a SWAG package that includes a bucket and t-shirt. A lunch follows as well as a beer garden and some live music to liven up the party. Proceeds from the beer garden help support the Catalina VFW Post, while the proceeds from the rest of the event will be available for grants to local youth groups and programs.
