The Just For The Halibut Just For The Kids fishing tournament recently held its “gift giving” ceremony, handing out funds to more than a dozen groups that provide programs for Catalina’s youths. The 33rd Annual Tournament raised more than $10,000 to be doled out this year.

- Catalina Outdoor Adventure Group
- NAC Avalon Ocean Club
- Santa Catalina Island Pony Club
- Catalina Kid Ventures
- Lady Lancer’s off-season basketball tournament
“We thank all of our many sponsors and donors for all the sponsorships, raffle prizes and donations as well as everyone in our community who participates with raffle tickets and enjoying the party at the end of the day. We also want to thank all the anglers for continuing to participate and generate these important funds for our local youth,” Cinde Cassidy said.
The presenting team consisted of Cinde Cassidy, Mallory Sterling, Angela Bogard, Nicky Flynn, Nikki Konigsmark and Sarah Costa.
