The presidential primary will be held March 5. Also on the ballot will be the office of Avalon mayor (for two years), two City Council seats (for four years) and the city treasurer (for four years). The nomination period ends at 5 p.m., Friday, Dec. 8.
At least one candidate has announced their intention to run on Facebook. It is not yet known if they have filed nomination papers.
