Catalina Year In Review 2012: April and May

Pebbly Beach Road project

The California Coastal Commission unanimously approved a permit for the Pebbly Beach Road mitigation project on April 11.

The permit would allow the joint city of Avalon-Santa Catalina Resort Services project to go forward. However, the work to make the road safer won’t start immediately.

“In order to prevent disturbance to breeding birds, no work shall occur during the period between March 1 and August 31,” said the Coastal Commission staff report.
