Catalina Pride 2025 was held June 6 and 7 with expanded events and venues this year including the addition of a Pink Poney Club themed kick-off party at the Chi Chi Club on Friday night. On Saturday the activities started at noon with a Pride Walk following a brief ceremony to acknowledge sponsors and dignitaries. Wrigley Stage was programed all day with a lineup that included the return of DJ Ashs, DJ Lord Izac, DJ Annalyze, DJ Davey (a local favorite) and live performances by Matt Harkenrider, King Queen and Pulp Vixen. The Horizon Yacht Club returned with a Dinghy Parade and throughout the day, Pier 24 hosted specialty drinks on the patio. The event wrapped up with an Afterparty at the Chi Chi Club.

Horizon Yacht Club is a Gay and Lesbian boating organization that was founded in 1978. With more than 90 members and associate members, the HYC has made Catalina one of its frequent destination for club events and they have become mainstays at the Catalina Pride event.

“Catalina Island holds a special place in the hearts of all of us at Horizon Yacht Club,” HYC Rear Commodore Bob Stevens said. “For more than 40 years, it has been a cherished destination for our members. It’s a true honor to participate in the Avalon Pride event each year and celebrate this incredible community.”

Title Sponsor US Bank had a delegation in attendance and Ciao Sparkling Water was given away to attendees courtesy of Pellegrino. The event was coordinated and produced by the Jeanseau Group sound and lighting were provided by The Perfect Event.
