CIC Luau event brings hundreds of supporters
Catalina Island Company announced that the sold-out Descanso Beach Club Luau Donation Program, which brought together island communities in a spirit of unity and compassion. The company is delighted to share that it will be sending a generous donation of $10,000 to the Maui Strong Fund, established by the Hawai’i Community Foundation to aid in the recovery efforts following the devastating wildfires.
Catalina Island Company’s commitment to this cause was demonstrated through its pledge to donate 50% of the price of each ticket purchased for the Hawaiian-style luau held at Descanso Beach Club on September 2, 2023. The Descanso Beach Club Luau, renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and celebration of island culture, took on a deeper meaning during this month’s event. Furthermore, additional contributions generously provided by the attendees of the luau have also been channeled to support the Maui Strong Fund.
The Maui Strong Fund is actively providing financial resources to support the immediate and long-term recovery needs of the individuals and places affected by the devastating Maui wildfires.
