Bravo’s Landscaping, Straight Up Builders and Chet’s Hardware win

Hamilton Cove Real Estate took on Bravo’s Landscaping in the first game of the night. Luis Lazzaro collected two RBIs on his double for Hamilton Cove Real Estate. Bravo’s Landscaping answered back with four runs on a base hit, a sacrifice fly, doubles from Justin Hernandez and Marcus Watts, and a solo home run from Tyler Engel.

In the third inning, Nick Morones hit an inside-the-park home run for Hamilton Cove Real Estate. Bravo’s Landscaping answered with a triple from Justin Hernandez, who scored on the double from Tyler Engel.

Hamilton Cove Real Estate took the lead in the fourth when four runs scored on three base hits, an error, and a triple from Robert Reyes. Bravo’s Landscaping tied it in the bottom of the inning with Ryan Adkins two-run home run.

In the fifth inning the defensive play of the game came when Ryan Adkins made a great running stop and throw to first, where Tyler Engel made the great dig to record the out. Bravo’s Landscaping took the momentum into the bottom of the inning and brought home four runs on three base hits, a double from Billy Boyd and back to back home runs from Justin Hernandez and Tyler Engel. Hamilton Cove Real Estate got a final at bat, but left two runners stranded. The game ended with the score Hamilton Cove Real Estate 7, Bravo’s Landscaping 11.

For Hamilton Cove Real Estate, Luis Lazzaro was three for three. Robert Reyes, Nick Morones and Omar Aguilar had two hits. Gabriel Alvarado, Reed Woodyard and Aimee Casillas collected one hit.

For Bravo’s Landscaping, Justin Hernandez and Tyler Engel were three for three. Joe Hernandez and Marcus Watts contributed two hits. Billy Boyd, Juan Pablo Bravo, Ryan Adkins, Santiago Martinez and Stephanie Martinez all collected one hit.

Game two

Game two turned into last inning excitement between Straight Up Builders and the Lobster Trap. In the bottom of the first inning, Jose Octavo started things off with a triple, but was left stranded at third.

In the second inning, Straight Up Builders got on the board with five runs on a walk, two base hits, and doubles from Alvin Veal, Bart Glass and Amanda Younger. The Lobster Trap answered with two runs on a base hit and doubles from Mario Jimenez and Paul Daniel Romo.

The Lobster Trap added another run in the third. In the fourth a base hit, a double from Chuy Sillas and a triple from Ryan Hinkley brought home two runs for Straight Up Builders.

In the fifth, Brandon Franco hit a triple, and survived the pickle to remain at third, while the batter made it to second base. Both later scored for two more runs for Straight Up Builders.

In the sixth inning Straight Up Builders added another run from the solo inside-the-park home run from Ryan Hinkley. The Lobster Trap got their last at bat, and made the game exciting. Seven base hits, a walk and a double from Weston Leonhardi brought home six runs. With two runners on, Straight Up Builders survived the threat and made the last out. The game ended with the score The Lobster Trap 9, Straight Up Builders 10.

For the Lobster Trap, Kara Fullner was two for two. Weston Leonardi, Mario Jimenez and Paul Daniel Romo also had two hits. Jose Octavo, Beto Martin, Javier Jimenez, Efrain Moreno, Kyle Ostentoski, Alana Moreno and Liza Vahai all contributed one hit.

For Straight Up Builders, Chuy Sillas collected three hits. Ryan Hinkley, Alvin Veal and Uriel Castillo had two hits. Brandon Franco, Bart Glass, Amanda Younger and Maria Reyes contributed one hit.

Game three

The final game of the night was between Chet’s Hardware and Coyote Joe’s. Chet’s Hardware started it off with doubles from Marco Gallegos, Sebastian Sanchez and Alex Romero, along with a base hit to score three. Coyote Joe’s answered back with a solo home run from J.D. Laflin, followed by five base hits to bring home five runs.

The lead went back to Chet’s Hardware when four crossed the plate from two base hits, a double from Juan De La Cruz and a triple from Marco Gallegos. The lead switched again in the bottom of the inning when Coyote Joe’s brought home three on an error, a double from Enrique Bravo and a second home run from J.D. Laflin.

Chet’s Hardware took the lead back in the third using an error, three base hits, doubles from Sebastian Sanchez, Selina Morones and Betty Tejeda, and a home run from Marco Gallegos. Chet’s Hardware added four more runs in the fifth. Coyote Joe’s got their last at bat. They scored three runs on a walk and three base hits, but fell short. Final score Coyote Joe’s 11, Chet’s Hardware 17.

For Coyote Joe’s, J.D. Laflin was three for three.

Ron Bevins was two for two. Francisco Bravo also had two hits.

Enrique Bravo, Ben Guzman, Hugh Bevins, Victor Martinez, Rachel McCormick and Alexandria Tran contributed one hit.

For Chet’s Hardware, Sebastian Sanchez and Marco Gallegos were four for four. Marco hit for the cycle. Briana Morones and Traci Kedis collected two hits. Juan De La Cruz, Alex Romero, Andres Garcia, Tino Rodriguez, Selina Morones and Betty Tejeda all had one hit.
