A short-handed Bravo’s Landscaping took on Straight Up Builders in the first game. Marco Gallegos opened the game with a double, and later scored for Bravo’s Landscaping. Bravo’s Landscaping had three base hits, a triple from Stephanie Martinez and a two-run home run from Luis Lazaro to bring home five in the second.
Straight Up Builders got on the board in the bottom of the inning, using six base hits and two errors to score seven and take the lead. Stephanie Martinez hit a double for Bravo’s Landscaping in the third, but was left stranded at third.
Bravo’s Landscaping regained the lead in the fourth inning with two runs off an error, a base hit and a double from Stephanie Martinez. A great catch in right center by Marisa Morones ended the threat. Bravo’s Landscaping rallied in the fifth inning, batting around the order. A total of nine base hits, a double from Brayan Aguilar and a two run inside-the-park home run from Luis Lazaro saw a total of ten cross the plate.
Two errors and three base hits in the sixth brought home three more runs for Bravo’s Landscaping. Straight Up Builders got their last at bat, but left a runner stranded at second. The game ended with the score Straight Up Builders 7, Bravo’s Landscaping 21.
For Straight Up Builders Nestor Cubillas was three for three. Uriel Castillo contributed two hits. Chuy Sillas, Bart Glass, Gustavo Aguilar, Julio Chavoya, Alvin Veal and Selina Morones collected one hit.
For Bravo’s Landscaping, solo female Stephanie Martinez collected ten hits. Luis Lazaro was five for five. Marco Gallegos was right behind him with four hits. Brayan Aguilar and Santiago Martinez contributed two hits, while Sebastian Sanchez and Leo Aguilar had one hit.
Sunset Bar & Grill took on Buoys & Gulls in the second game. Buoys & Gulls got on the board first in the bottom of the first inning when two base hits and a double from J.D. Laflin brought home two runs. Buoys & Gulls added another run in the second inning off a walk, a base hit and a double from Ben Guzman.
Sunset Bar & Grill used two base hits and a walk to bring home two in the third. Buoys & Gulls rallied in the third with seven runs off an error, six base hits and a double from J.D. Laflin.
Sunset Bar & Grill put together a walk, two base hits and a triple from Francisco Bravo to drive home three runs in the fourth. Buoys & Gulls answered with a run, off the double from Ron Bevins and two base hits. A base hit, a double from Weston Leonhardi and a sacrifice fly ball brought home two runs for Buoys & Gulls in the fifth inning.
Sunset Bar & Grill put another run on the board in the sixth off the double from Juan Hernandez, who later scored. In the top of the seventh and final inning, Sunset Bar & Grill had three base hits for two runs, but it wasn’t enough. The game ended with the score Sunset Bar & Grill 8, Buoys & Gulls 13.
For Sunset Bar & Grill Francisco Bravo, Elias Romero and Caitlin Lopez collected two hits. Juan Hernandez, Gilbert Hernandez, Omar Aguilar, Melissa Schafer and Teagan Machado contributed one hit.
For Buoys & Gulls Jack Villagomez, Weston Leonhardi, J.D. Laflin, Ryan Adkins, Ben Guzman and Briana Morones all contributed two hits. Jose Octavo, Ron Bevins, Jose Barreras, Edmundo Vega, Rachel Mc Cormick and Alexa Morones collected one hit.
