Blindsided by Reynolds resignaton

I was absolutely blindsided to learn that Carol Reynolds resigned as Chairman of the Board of Directors of C.I.M.C.

I have known Carol for 23 plus years honored to be her friend and worked with her on the Foundation Board. Knowing her passion, honesty and total dedication to the building and the completion of the new medical center, why would she tender her resignation??

It was because of all her efforts that the Catalina Island Company came forward and donated the landsite for our new hospital.

She was also directly responsible for helping to get proposition “H” on the ballot and passed. The initiative will help provide funding for the construction of the new hospital. For her efforts she received the “Wayne and Susie Griffin Award” for community service. She was the first person to receive this award and it was quite an honor.

This is indeed a very sad day for the entire community of Avalon. How do we replace someone like Carol?

In closing, I am asking the community to speak out and ask why she would resign. She always said, “I pray, I will live a long enough to walk through the doors and down the halls of our new hospital. This is her dream and she made it ours too. Without her leadership our dream may never happen.
