The Avalon High baseball team traveled to Orange County Great Park for their season opener against Tarbut V’ Torah school. A lead-off triple in the third inning sparked a seven-run rally for the Tigers and the Lancers couldn’t respond as they fell 12-0 in the season opener for both schools.
The Lancers had a lead-off single and a one-out walk to put runners on in the fourth, but the Tigers brought in a relief pitcher who was able to get back-to-back strikeouts to end the threat.
