Avalon station jailer receives Sheriff’s Department Award

On Sept. 19, Avalon Sheriff Station Jailer, Custody Assistant Sandra Perez was awarded the Central Patrol Division’s Chief Award during the 13th Annual “Professional Staff (Civilian) Day” at a ceremony/luncheon in the city of Los Angeles.

Perez is a 28-year veteran of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

For the past five years, she has been working at the Avalon Sheriff’s Station as the station’s jailer.

Central Patrol Division Chief Eli Vera recognized Perez for her outstanding work ethic, professionalism and dedication to service.

Avalon Station Captain John Hocking said, “Ms. Perez is a true professional. Her friendly attitude and outstanding work ethic is infectious.”
