Father William Ruther of Saint Catherine’s of Alexandria church in Avalon, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 12. “Thank you for what you have done for our community. God Bless You Father Bill” was a sentiment shared by congregants of Saint Catherine’s church.
The City Council observed a moment of silence for Father Ruther at the start of the council’s Tuesday, Feb. 15, meeting.
