The Avalon Lion’s Club coordinated six members of California South Bay Lions Clubs to assist in providing sight screening for 108 Avalon School Children. The students with sight issues were referred to the Lions Low Vision Services Program where they will receive a complete eye examination and prescription glasses to help with their school work and daily life.

The Avalon Lions Club has an eye glasses box in the lobby of the US Bank in Avalon. Anyone may deposit used eye glasses, hearing aids and cell phones to be recycled and given to those in need.

Any Avalon Resident with a heart to serve their community is encouraged to join the Avalon Lions Club. Please contact Burney Ramming at 310-422-1406 for more information on becoming a member of the largest community service organization in the world.
