Lutheran Trojans as we wrapped up the final season with an undefeated record once again.
The team is poised and ready as we head into the playoffs with our first game this Friday against Sage Hill.
The game is at Cabrillo High School in Long Beach if any of our local supporters can make it! For details and directions to the field, contact Athletic Director, Patti Engel, Avalon Schools at 310-510-0790. The game was a great all around performance with playing time for everyone.

Quarterback David Torres-Zeller had one of his best games of the season connecting on multiple passes including a 60 yard bomb to Carson Huncke and a couple of nice passes to Chris Alcala, including one for a touchdown. As he always does, Brayan Martinez had a nice game running the ball and scored a couple of touchdowns himself. Cristo Hernandez started the game at cornerback and did a great job handling a very difficult passing attack in his first start of the season, congratulations to Cristo.
Also getting a lot of playing time and making a strong contribution was Emanuel Amezcua at tight end and on the D Line. Giovanni Leyva, Sergio Casillas, Estevan Reyes and Alex Lira did a great job also protecting the QB and opening up holes for the offense.
Jaime Alaniz had a solid game also running the ball and hauling in an interception that lead to an Avalon touchdown and Leo Romero is settling in as a solid defender at cornerback knocking down many Lutheran passes.
