The 2018-19 Avalon High Schools Girls Lady Lancers Basketball team has retooled and is ready to compete.

Coming off an impressive year where they went 16-9 and advanced to the second round of the playoffs, the Lancers will be going through a rebuilding year.

Losing three of their five starters and over 80 percent of their scoring, they are working on their identity and filling their roles.

This year’s team consist of six freshmen, five sophomores, one junior, and two seniors. Needless to say they are young but exciting to watch. Currently they are 2-4 playing higher division teams in the pre-season.

This experience against tougher opponents should prep them for their league play.

The city of Avalon would love to see the community support at their games. Their schedule can be found on Maxpreps.com under Avalon.
