Evening event for Chimes Tower returns this weekend
Calling all who cherish the Chimes Tower. You are invited to the third annual “BELLissimo!” – a special event hosted by the Catalina Chimes Tower Foundation.
The evening will feature live entertainment by actor, singer and game show host John Davidson, a Japanese Auction, “Mystery Box” reveal, dessert, libations and other fun surprises – all while overlooking the lights of Avalon and celebrating the Chimes Tower.
During the Japanese Auction, you will have the opportunity to bid on a one-of-a-kind vintage
St. Catherine Hotel silver tea set, a beautiful gold and diamond “Casino” ring, a rare piece of Catalina pottery and more.
What’s a “Mystery Box?” One “Mystery Box” contains a valuable item… the remaining contain a memento of the event. Only 100 boxes are available, and are being sold with the purchase of an event ticket as follows: $100 if purchased prior to the event, $150 during the event (if any are left).
“We are excited to put on “BELLissimo!” again this year. Last year’s event was a great success, and raised funds that allowed us to make significant progress on our unique and challenging restoration,” said Alison Wrigley Rusack, foundation chair.
The event takes place on Saturday, October 12 from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. at Castillo del Mar, the home of Blanny Avalon Hagenah, foundation board member.
