Sunset Bar & Grill took on Leave it to Leo Handyman in the first game of the night. Leave it to Leo Handyman put two runs on the board in the bottom of the first from Robert Reyes’ over-the-chains home run.
Sunset Bar & Grill got on the board in the third with a three RBI home run from Gabriel Alvarado. Sunset Bar & Grill added to their lead in the fourth inning when a walk, four base hits, doubles from Jose Merino and Francisco Bravo added up to five crossing the plate.
Three more runs were added in the fifth for Sunset Bar & Grill off a walk, an error and two base hits. Leave it to Leo Handyman answered with the three RBI home run from Johnny Hernandez. Sunset Bar & Grill added two insurance runs in the top of the seventh off a base hit and back to back doubles from Gabriel Alvarado and Julian Tejeda.
Leave it to Leo Handyman got their last at bat but couldn’t muster any offense. The game ended with the score Leave it to Leo Handyman 5, Sunset Bar & Grill 13.
For Leave it to Leo Handyman Marco Gallegos and Nestor Cubillas collected two hits. Robert Reyes, Leo Aguilar, Johnny Hernandez, Luis Lazaro, Edmundo Vega and Renton Minuto contributed one hit.
For Sunset Bar & Grill Gabriel Alvarado had three hits. Jose Octavo, Ryan Adkins, Francisco Bravo, Ben Guzman and Maddie Hiniker contributed two hits. Julian Tejeda, Jose Merino and Carmelo Lazaro collected one hit.
Game two was between Buoys & Gulls and Straight Up Builders. Buoys & Gulls was up first and promptly put up four runs off three walks, three base hits and a triple from Weston Leonhardi. Straight Up Builders answered with two runs off two walks, two base hits and a double from Sebastian Sanchez.
Buoys & Gulls had another four runs score in the second off three errors, a double from Juan De La Cruz and a home run from Weston Leonhardi. Straight Up Builders scored a run in the third off three base hits.
Weston Leonhardi opened the fifth inning with his second home run of the night for Buoys & Gulls. Juan De La Cruz followed with a triple and later scored. Straight Up Builders kept pace, with two runs off four base hits.
Buoys & Gulls kept the pressure on with another four runs coming home in the sixth inning. This time they had a walk, two base hits and doubles from J.D. Laflin and Weston Leonhardi. Buoys & Gulls put up one more run in the seventh off three base hits.
Straight Up Builders got their last at bat and had two base hits and a double from Gustavo Gutierrez to bring home two runs, but it wasn’t enough. The game ended with the score Straight Up Builders 7, Buoys & Gulls 15.
For Straight Up Builders Brittany Randall contributed three hits. Paul Daniel Romo, Uriel Castillo, Julio Chavoya and Sergio Vallejo collected two hits. Sebastian Sanchez, Tyler Engel and Alexa Morones had one hit.
For Buoys & Gulls Weston Leonhardi was four for four. Juan De La Cruz collected three hits. J.D. Laflin, Joey Yakubec, Hugh Bevins and Kayla Feairheller had two hits. Chuy Sillas, Ulices Alvarado, Ron Bevins, Missy Schafer and Rachel McCormick contributed one hit.
