Reporting Domestic Violence

Each year, more than two million women are victims of domestic violence, and one million children are physically abused. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department works closely with the District Attorney’s Office, the courts, social and medical agencies, as well as the Catalina Island Women’s Forum to help victims of domestic violence. If you are the victim of domestic violence, we urge you to call Avalon Station immediately. We will do everything we can to help protect you from further violence. We will ensure you get the medical aid you need, make an arrest, assist with getting an Emergency Protective Order, collect any evidence of the crime, thoroughly document the incident and present the facts of the case to the District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration. No one deserves to be a victim of this crime, please call us if you or someone you know is the victim of domestic violence.
